Fishing Tackle Manufacturing & Quality Control

Fantan Fishing manages the production and quality control of fishing reels, rods, and lures for fishing brands, wholesalers, importers, and distributors.

From approved samples and specifications to in-process inspection and pre-shipment checks, each order is reviewed for product function, appearance, branding, and packaging before delivery.

Fishing Reel Manufacturing Process

Fishing reel production requires accurate component assembly, smooth gear engagement, stable drag performance, and consistent surface finishing. The manufacturing and inspection process varies according to the reel platform, materials, braking system, gear ratio, and intended fishing application.

CNC Machining of Aluminum Reel Frames

Aluminum reel frames are precision-machined to achieve the required dimensions, component positions, and structural consistency before surface finishing and assembly.

Injection Molding of Fishing Reel Bodies

Molded reel bodies are produced according to the selected reel platform and material requirements. The molded parts are checked for shape, surface condition, and visible defects before assembly.

Precision Machining of Fishing Reel Spools

Reel spools are machined to meet the required dimensions, line-capacity design, weight, and assembly specifications for the selected reel model.

Anodizing Process for Aluminum Reel Spools

Aluminum reel spools undergo anodizing to create the required surface color and finish. Color consistency and visible surface quality are checked before the spools enter assembly.

Laser Marking for Fishing Reel Logos and Product Information

Laser marking is used for selected logos, model information, or decorative details. Position, size, orientation, and marking clarity are checked against the approved artwork.

Fishing Reel Component Assembly

Reel bodies, gears, bearings, drag components, spools, handles, and external parts are assembled according to the confirmed product specification. Completed reels proceed to function and appearance inspection before packaging.

Fishing Rod Manufacturing Process

Fishing rod production combines blank construction, component selection, guide installation, handle assembly, decorative finishing, and final specification control. Each stage affects the rod’s appearance, weight, action, and overall consistency.

Carbon Fiber Rod Blank Manufacturing

Carbon fiber prepreg is precisely cut, layered and rolled onto mandrels to produce rod blanks with consistent action, strength and sensitivity.

Carbon Fiber Prepreg Rolling

Pre-cut carbon fiber prepreg is rolled around a steel mandrel according to the specified blank design. Material orientation, rolling pressure, and layer placement are controlled to achieve the required rod power, action, weight, and strength.

Rod Blank Cellophane Tape Wrapping

The rolled rod blank is wrapped with cellophane tape under controlled tension. This applies uniform pressure, helps remove excess resin, and maintains the blank’s shape during heat curing.

Rod Blank Heat Curing

After tape wrapping, the rod blanks are placed in a curing oven under controlled temperature and time settings. The heat activates the resin system and consolidates the carbon fiber layers, allowing the blanks to achieve their designed shape, strength, power, and action.

Fishing Rod Blank PP Tape Removal

After heat curing, the PP wrapping tape is removed from the rod blank. This exposes the cured blank surface and prepares it for mandrel removal, surface finishing, sanding, and subsequent inspection.

Guide Installation and Thread Wrapping

Guides are positioned along the rod blank according to the confirmed guide layout and secured with thread wrapping. Guide alignment, spacing, thread tension, and wrap consistency are checked during assembly.

Fishing Lure Manufacturing Process

Fishing lure production involves body forming, weighting, surface finishing, color application, component assembly, and packaging. Quality requirements vary according to the lure material, action, hook configuration, and intended fishing application.

Hard Bait Body Injection Molding

Precision injection molding produces consistent hard bait body shells with accurate dimensions for subsequent internal assembly and surface finishing.

Internal Components & Lure Body Assembly

Eyelets and rattles are installed inside the lure body before the two body halves are aligned and closed for the next production stage.

Lure Spray Painting

Multiple paint layers and controlled spraying create consistent colors, gradients and patterns for custom hard baits.

Fishing Lure Hot Stamping Process | Custom Hard Bait Manufacturing

Reflective foil and decorative patterns are transferred onto lure bodies through controlled heat and pressure, creating consistent finishes for custom hard baits.

Hard Bait Swimming Action Test

Finished lures are tested in water to inspect swimming action, balance, tracking stability and overall performance before shipment.

Fishing Lure Sorting & Packaging

Finished lures are sorted, counted and packed according to order requirements, including custom quantities, labels and packaging options.

Quality Control from Sample Approval to Shipment
Quality control begins before bulk production. The approved sample, specification sheet, logo artwork, color reference, and packaging file are used together as the production reference.
Pre-Production Confirmation
Product specifications, materials, components, colors, logos, packaging, and approved samples are confirmed before bulk production begins.
Incoming Material and Component Inspection
Key materials and components are reviewed for specification, appearance, quantity, and suitability before entering assembly or production.
In-Process Inspection
Products are inspected during production to identify assembly, finish, specification, logo, or packaging issues before the order is completed.
Pre-Shipment Inspection
Finished products are checked for quantity, function, appearance, branding, accessories, and packaging before shipment. Inspection photos or videos can be provided for order confirmation.
