KW Carbon Guide overview
KW guides carry the line from the reel into the running guides. The double-foot carbon frame keeps the ring stable under casting load while staying far lighter than a metal frame of the same height. KW 5.5 to KW 12 are used on casting rods and light spinning rods; KW 16 to KW 40 are the large stripper guides for spinning, surf and boat rods.
In the catalogue casting set example the stripper section is KW 8, KW 7 and KW 6 followed by YT running guides. Ring colours: bright black, bright gold, bright silver and pink. Ring materials: zirconia (ZrO2) and silicon nitride (Si3N4).
